qwik-office-disk Version 1.1

Description

This is a Gnome-based liveCD respin of FC6. Automatically logs in as root on tty1 and automatically logs in as user 
fedora in X.
Automatically formats and partitions a harddisk for swap and data storage, mounted to /home, which is used in 
subsequent reboots.

Potential Uses

Can be used as an alternative to non-free office automation tools like Microsoft Office.
Can be used for home/computer lab where the software set should be immutable, but the user data shouldn't be. 
Can be used for computer systems with assurance that security threats can be remedied by a reboot.
A mobile computer system for students where all computers may only run non-free software.
A demo disk to show alternatives to non-free environments.

OpenOffice.org- a free office suite providing alternatives to MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
Gnome- enterprise-grade window management system
Firefox- a secure web browser
Evolution- enterprise-grade email suite
NetworkManager- zero configuration network daemon
ssh- remote login
ntfs-3g- for mounting Microsoft NTFS volumes

This liveCD is under the General Public Licence. As with all software under the GPL, USE AT OWN RISK.

Additional Warning- The startup program on the liveCD will ask permission to destroy all data on the harddisk. If you
do not want your data lost, do not run this on a system with valuable data!
